Prepare for your photoshoot
What to wear, how to prepare your skin and hair, and what a session looks like in Vienna, Budapest and Sopron. A few simple choices before the day make a big difference to how you look and feel in front of the camera.
Choose clothes you feel like yourself in. Confidence reads on camera.
Studio continuous lighting
- Solid, mid-tone colours such as navy, charcoal, deep green, burgundy or soft neutrals look rich under controlled light.
- Avoid busy patterns and tiny stripes or checks, which can distract from your face.
- Mind pure white and very bright colours, which can reflect light onto the skin.
- Bring options. Two or three tops let you vary the look quickly.
Outdoor natural light
- Think about the setting. Choose colours that complement, not blend into, the architecture or greenery.
- Layers help. A jacket or coat adds shape and gives you an easy change of look.
- Wear comfortable shoes if we will walk between spots.
- Check the weather and plan for it. We can adjust timing or location together.
Skin & makeup
- Hydrate and sleep well the days before. It shows.
- Keep makeup natural and slightly more defined than everyday, so features read clearly on camera.
- Use a matte finish where you tend to shine, and bring powder and lip balm for touch-ups.
- Skip new products right before the shoot, in case of a reaction.
Hair & details
- Get a haircut a few days ahead, not the day before.
- Groom facial hair the day before or the morning of the session.
- Check the small things: nails, glasses (clean, and consider anti-glare lenses) and jewellery that is simple and not distracting.
- Steam or iron your outfits the night before.
A relaxed, guided session. No experience in front of the camera needed.
Vienna
Sessions are usually on location in the city, using natural light and the surrounding architecture, or in a portable studio setup or partner studio space if you need a controlled look. We agree the meeting point and timing in advance.
Budapest
Choose an on-location session in natural light, or a studio-style setup on request. Visitors are welcome: share your travel dates and we will plan around your schedule.
Sopron
Relaxed, local sessions in and around Sopron, close to the Austrian border. Natural light on location, or a portable setup when the project calls for it.
- Before: we talk through the look you want, the location and the outfits. Share reference images if you have them.
- During: you are guided on posing and expression throughout, and we review frames as we go where it helps.
- After: your selected images are retouched and delivered as an online gallery.
